Charles R. McNamara was elected to the board in 2010.

McNamara operates his own business as a "green" building contractor, and has over eight years of experience in OSHA-trained commercial/industrial construction safety. For 15 years he has specialized in the restoration, repair and relocation of antique timber frames used for private residences and businesses.

In addition, McNamara is a part-time employee of Stantec Consulting Group, an international engineering firm, providing technical support and coordination for a multi-discipline engineering team.

A graduate of Montrose Area High School, he holds a bachelor's degree in industrial technology from Binghamton University. He is a member of the Silver Lake Fire Company and the St. Joseph/St. Augustine Parish.

A resident of Silver Lake Township, McNamara built his own energy-efficient home utilizing electric thermal storage.  McNamara and his wife Barbara have two sons.
