Zone 6

James E. Luce of Laceyville was appointed to the Claverack Rural Electric Cooperative board of directors in January 2003.

A lifelong resident of Wyoming County, Mr. Luce operates a farm in Meshoppen Township. He is a graduate of Elk Lake High School and holds a bachelor's degree in agriculture education from Penn State University.

Jim serves on the Wyoming County Farmland Preservation Board and is an associate director on the Wyoming County Conservation District board and the Endless Mountains Heritage Region board. In addition he is a leader with the Blazing Saddles 4-H Club and a member of the Meshoppen Methodist Church and Tunkhannock Lions Club.

He represents Zone 6 on the co-op board. Zone 6 encompasses all or portions of the following townships: Cherry and Colley in Sullivan County; Braintrim, Forkston, Mehoopany, Meshoppen, North Branch, Washington and Windham in Wyoming County; Wilmot and Tuscarora in Bradford County.

Jim has completed CCD training, and several other training courses towards his board leadership certificate.
