Michael J. Coleman

Michael J. Coleman was elected to the Claverack board of directors at the July 2006 annual meeting.

Mr. Coleman is president of Cargill Taylor Beef, Wyalusing, where he has worked for 22 years. He has previously served on the Grange National Bank board of directors and currently sits on the regional advisory board for First Liberty Bank and Trust.

Mr. Coleman earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Shippensburg University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Scranton.

Mike and his wife, Lyn, live in the house where he grew up and where their two sons were the fifth generation to live in the family homestead. Claverack has provided electric service to the Coleman family’s house and barn since the late 1930s.

Mr. Coleman is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants, St. Francis/St. Thomas Parish finance committee, the Bradford County Economic Development Advisory Board, and the Wyalusing Industrial Development Corporation.

He also serves on the National Meat Association board of directors, is on the advisory board of First Liberty Bank and Trust and serves as treasurer of St. Patrick’s Cemetery Association.

An avid turkey hunter, Mike represents Zone 5 on the Claverack board. Zone 5 serves members in Apolacon, Choconut, Forest Lake, Middletown, Jessup and Rush townships in Susquehanna County and Warren Township in Bradford County.
