James Zick is seeking his seventh term as Claverack's zone 3 director, representing Gibson, Harford, Jackson, Lathrop and Lenox townships in Susquehanna County; and Benton township in Lackawanna County.

He is the owner/operator of Zickview farm, a family farm that has operated in the Kinglsey-Lenox area for over 75 years. The Zick family raises beef cattle and replacement dairy heifers. Zick says he feels strongly that electricity is a vital part of any farm operation and business. His home is heated with electric thermal storage (ETS).

Jim is serving his 28th year on the Mountain View school board and currently holds the post of board president. He is also an active member of the Mountain View Alumni Association, an organization created to promote financial aid (scholarships) to qualified Mountain View students.

Jim and his wife, Carol, are the parents of six children.
