Kevin B. Barrett was elected to the Claverack board of directors in 2005 and currently serves as the chairman. He represents Zone 1, which includes Albany, Asylum, Herrick, Standing Stone, Stevens, Terry and Wyalusing townships in Bradford County. In addition, Barrett represents Claverack on the Pennsylvania Rural Electric Association Board of Directors, serving as vice chairman. He is also on the board of directors of Wellsboro Electric Co.

Barrett owns and operates Heavenly View Farm and is president of Beirne Green Hill Farm, Inc. A graduate of  Penn State University's Cooperative Directors School, Barrett has 21 years of cooperative board experience. In the past, he has served as a director of: Eastern Laboratory Services, Agway Corporation, Agway Insurance, Bradford County Dairy Promotions, Bradford County Cooperative Extension, Dairy of Distinction and as a member of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, as well as several other agricultural organizations. 

Born and raised in Asylum Township, Bradford County, Barrett is active in his community.  He currently holds leadership positions with the Towanda Lions Club, Towanda Area School District Educational Foundation and Saints Peter and Paul Church. He also serves as an Asylum Township supervisor, a post he has held for 22 years.  An an avid outdoorsman, Barrett enjoys hunting and shooting sports, as well as managing several conservation projects on the farms. Kevin and his wife, Catherine, have two grown daughters, Samantha and Abigail, who represented Claverack as student delegates on past Rural Electric Youth Tours.
