Generation & Transmission Rate to Increase for 2012

Claverack’s Generation & Transmission rate for all rate classes will increase by $.00355 (3.55 tenths of a cent) effective in January 2012.

As a result of the rate adjustment, the total monthly bill of a typical residential member using 800 kWh of electricity will increase by less than $3.00.  This change reflects the pass through of a slightly increased wholesale power cost budgeted for the coming year.

This move will change the generation & transmission rate for residential, seasonal and small commercial members from 6.245 cents per kWh to 6.6 cents per kWh. The cost-of-service charge will remain at $26.70 per month, and the rate for distribution will remain at 3.364 cents per kWh.
