Capital Credits

As a member you own the Cooperative. Capital credits reflect your ownership in the Co-op. Capital credits are the earnings of the Cooperative (gross income less all costs) which are allocated back to each member in proportion to the amount of electricity they purchased during the year. Capital credits are ownership equity in the Cooperative. They are used as working capital to help fund electric line construction, substations and the other equipment necessary to provide Claverack’s members with safe and reliable electric service.
