Claverack Facts

Claverack Rural Electric Cooperative exists to serve you, our membership. We are owned by our consumer-members. The mission of Claverack is to provide a source of electrical energy to its members at the lowest possible cost consistent with quality service and sound management.

Claverack Rural Electric Cooperative was incorporated on Oct. 24, 1936. Claverack serves a 2,250 square mile area in eight counties of Northeastern Pennsylvania. We have over 2,671 miles of line and serve over 17,847 locations. Claverack members used over 160 million kilowatt-hours of electricity in 2005.

Many of these principles reflect the values that our members hold dear. That’s why we have an annual meeting. It’s why we vote for our board of directors.
