Help Us Find Unclaimed Capital Credit Check Recipients

When the Cooperative has margins (revenues minus expenses) at the end of the year, those margins are allocated (spread) to active members based on their electric usage during that year.  Annually the board of directors determines if the Cooperative is in a financial position to distribute any margins or capital credits back to the members.  This is called a capital credit retirement and is given to the members in either a bill credit, or in the case of an inactive member, a check.

In June, Claverack completed a capital credit retirement for a portion of the years 1980 and prior, and the year 2010.  We mailed checks to former members for which we had valid address information.  However, we have many former members that have checks awaiting them, but are unable to mail those checks because we no longer have a valid address on file.

Please help us locate these members so we can return their money.  Use the link on the right and take a few minutes to scan the alphabetized list.  If you recognize any of these former members, and can provide us with their address, please email us at shelleyy@ctenterprises.org, or call us at 1-800-326-9799.
